HTC reveals the Vive PRE user manual, telling you how to set up your room for VR play
HTC has leaked the user manual for its HTC Vive PRE VR headset. The guide explains everything you need to know about using the headset, including how to put them on. The very first direction? "Pull the headset down over your eyes." Most likely the majority of Vive PRE owners will get that part right.
The guide also shows you how to hook up a USB cable to the device, how to clean the headset, how to work the controllers, and even how to attach the lanyards to the controllers. One of the most important sections deals with how to set up your room (which will now be known as the VR Palace). There are two base stations that cannot be more than 16 feet apart from each other. They should be placed above your height, set up in a stable location.
Pre-orders for the Vive will start on February 29th, with the launch taking place in April. You can check out the user manual by clicking on the sourcelink.

When setting up your room for VR play, you need to get rid of furniture, pets and mirrors. In other words, you don't want to be so caught up in the virtual world that you run into a chair sitting in the real world. And you must also rid the room of any mirrors that can reflect lights.
