HTC exec retweets image of a gold Samsung Galaxy S5 compared to a band-aid

The fun continues over at the HTC camp after Samsung announced its new Galaxy S5 flagship at MWC 2014 in Barcelona. First, HTC’s official Twitter account posted an image suggesting that S5 owners would regret getting the Samsung handset after the All New HTC One is unveiled. And now we are seeing that HTC America president Jason Mackenzie retweeted an image that compares the gold Galaxy S5 to a band-aid. The image was originally tweeted by Joanna Stern, who is currently writing for The Wall Street Journal.

We'll admit it: the S5’s perforated pattern that's found on its back case and the "copper gold" color do make it look like a giant band-aid.

HTC also has gold versions of its One smartphones, but those certainly don’t look like band-aids.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released around the world starting April 11. Besides gold, other available colors will include “shimmery white”, “charcoal black,” and “electric blue.”

Until the new smartphone hits shelves, here is all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S5
