HTC 8X, 8S and 8V to be the company's eventual Windows Phone 8 portfolio
HTC might start matching the naming scheme of its upcoming Windows Phone 8 portfolio with the one it utilizes now for its Android handsets, which was started this year with the One series.
HTC 8S : 4.3-inch HD Super LCD screen, 8 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8960) processor, 8GB/16GB storage (supports microSD expansion card), support for NFC and 42Mbps HSPA + network.
On the Android side we have the HTC One X, S and V, from high-end to low-end, and on the WP8 side it is rumored we will have HTC 8X (the leaked HTC Zenith), HTC 8S ( HTC Accord), and eventually the HTC 8V (codenamed HTC Rio). The HTC 8X is saod to arrive on T-Mobile, and the purported specs of the 8-series gang are as follows:
HTC 8X : 4.7 inches HD Super LCD 2 screen, 8 megapixel camera, dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, support for NFC, and 42Mbps HSPA + network.
HTC 8S : 4.3-inch HD Super LCD screen, 8 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8960) processor, 8GB/16GB storage (supports microSD expansion card), support for NFC and 42Mbps HSPA + network.
HTC 8V : 4.0-inch WVGA screen, 5 megapixel camera, dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8227) processor, 512MB of RAM, support 14.4Mbps HSPA network.
There will be a grand HTC event next Wednesday, where the phone maker is expected to unveil its new 8X, 8S and 8V WP8 portfolio, and eventually show a new tablet a pretty unique design, if rumors turn out true. What do you think about this possible new HTC Windows Phone naming scheme?
