Google Translate for iOS now offers iPad support with its latest update
Well, well. It looks like there’s some love headed towards iPad owners seeing that Google Translate for iOS was recently updated to offer support for the venerable tablet. Therefore, if you’re traveling with Apple’s popular tablet, you can be assured that you’ll be able to translate things on the go very quickly.
With the latest update for the Google Translate app for iOS, it now packs native support for the iPad – and thankfully, it seems as though they’ve tweaked it enough to take advantage of the larger confines. However, the presentation makeover isn’t necessarily substantial and not whole lot different seeing it’s very similar to the one found with the standard iPhone app. Besides the addition of iPad support, there’s nothing else particularly new with the update’s rollout, but as usual, it’s available as a free download on the App Store.
Nevertheless, version 1.3.0 of the Google Translate app for iOS should prove to be a hit mostly to iPad owners out there. Still, you can’t beat something that can translate long passages of text between 63 different languages – either by typing or speaking.
