Google Nexus 4 on pre-order at a Russian retailer, priced at $660
Without a doubt, the Google Nexus 4 is in extremely short supply, even though its manufacturer, LG, is trying to convince us otherwise. After all, the Google Play store has been out of stock 99% of the time ever since the smartphone was announced. But that, apparently, won't stop the Nexus 4 from launching in one more market, albeit through a third-party retailer – Russia.
Svyaznoy is currently accepting pre-orders for the Google Nexus 4 – the 16GB model, to be more specific. No release date is being given, but users who provide contact information will be notified as soon as the handset is in stock. The retailer has priced the Nexus 4 at a rather hefty $660, which is a little less than what a Samsung Galaxy S III costs over there, and about two thirds of the price of a new Apple iPhone 5.
In the meantime, only cricket sounds can be heard over at the Nexus 4 section in the Play store, be it in the U.S., Canada, Australia, or wherever Google is officially supposed to be selling the smartphone.
Thanks for sending this in!
