Google Maps 4.7 includes new Google Hotpot which allows you to rate certain places
If there is one thing you can say about Google Maps, it's that the app is updated quite frequently with new features. We are now up to version 4.7 available for free from the Android Market (it is compatible with those using Android 1.6 or higher). The new upgrade adds a feature that seems to be quite popular these days-rating places and making reviews from your handset. The Mountain View based company calls its version Google Hotpot.
Those using the Apple iPhone will soon have a Places app from where you can post your ratings or get recommendations. Or, both Android and iPhone users can head to Google from their browser and click on the Places tab to access the same service.
Now, thanks to the new Hotpot feature, not only can Google help you find certain locations, you will also be able to find the specific businesses that other Google users like the best, and helps keep you away from the ones that they like the least.
