Galaxy S6 edge+ price and release date tipped
For the first time since the Galaxy Note line inception, Samsung is pulling the announcement of its future member forward. The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be unveiled at the announced Unpacked event on August 13 in New York City. Not only that, but there will be another first for the company on that date - an enlarged version of its current flagship - the Galaxy S6 edge - which would basically resemble the Note 5 in hardware, but skip the stylus, and have a side-sloping panel, earning its tentative title Galaxy S6 edge+.

By now, most everything else is known about the S6 edge+, but the price range it will be unleashed at. There have been rumors that the Note 5 will have a limited release at the beginning, with Europe, for instance, getting the stylus-deprived S6 edge Plus version first instead.

Pouring water in that rumor mill is the leaked price of the S6 edge+, which is in euros, and is pegged at EUR 799.99 for the basic 32 GB model. If that sound a bit steep, remember that the S6 edge started north of EUR 700, too, while this one will have a much larger, 5.7" display, for those who just can't stomach a 5.1-incher. The release date is tipped to be August 21, or just a week after the August 13th announcement.
