Funky HTC A16 pictured, could be an affordable Desire
While HTC is unlikely to announce its One M10 flagship at MWC 2016 this month, the company may still have some new smartphones to show us. One of them could be the HTC A16, which we can now check out thanks to some renders revealed by Evan Blass (@evleaks).
At the moment, there are no details on the specs of the HTC A16, but this is obviously quite a colorful device, some variants of it having funky, somewhat childish patterns on the back cover. On the front, we can see a camera and a set of dual speakers, while the rear hosts another camera (with LED flash) plus what seem to be lanyard strap holes.
By the looks of it, the A16 is likely part of HTC's Desire lineup of handsets, and will (hopefully) run Android Marshmallow out of the box. The date that's visible on its home screen suggests that HTC may plan to launch the device in early March. According to Taiwanese website 3C Talk, the A16 may cost around $150, which means we shouldn't expect it to offer any high-end features - the design doesn't scream high-end anyway. We'll let you know if we see the new smartphone at MWC 2016 in the coming days.
