Fresh HTC One M9+ leaks: MediaTek CPU, EMEA availability, late Q1 or early Q2 launch
Ahead of HTC's New York event, which is about to begin in a few hours, royal leaks personality @upleaks chimed in with a claim that the upcoming HTC One M9 upgrade with a Quad-HD display and fingerprint scanner will be named the HTC One M9+ (not Plus).
Moreover, if the prodigal leakster is to be trusted, the smartphone will sell in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region as well (possibly named the HTC Desire A55). Allegedly, the EMEA region will get the configuration with a MT6795 octa-core processor, while an eventual US variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 SoC.
@upleaks also said that the smartphone will launch in the end of March, or early in the second quarter. This means we could see its announcement at HTC's New York event today, although the company's social marketing campaign mostly alludes to an official HTC One M9 launch for the USA.
Anyway, we'll see what our Taiwanese friends have been up to shortly - the event begins Wed, March 18 @ 9:00 AM (PDT).
