First Tizen tablet demoed, will come with a 10.1-inch, Full HD display
Tizen has been a frequent reminder that despite the seemingly-monolithic hold of the mobile space between Apple's iOS and Google's Android, there are those who seek to disrupt the duopoly. Of course, there's also Windows Phone, however, much everything else is held in disrepute. The team behind the Tizen OS appear intent on changing that, and if anything – it's got just the right kind of allies that can make that happen.
Back to the topic at hand, Tizen Indonesia has managed to get their hands on a prototype tablet running what seems to be a very early experimental version of Tizen 2.0, also known as Magnolia. According to Tizen Experts, the device is set for release in Japan during the Smartphone & Mobile Expo which will take place between October 23 and 25. Unfortunately, the device is only going to be available to developers and not the general populace, but we're happy to see the fledgling OS making good progress.
We promise to keep you in the loop, in the meantime – check the specs sheets and the demo video below.
