Entry-level ZTE ZMax 3 headed to AT&T
If a fresh discovery in the FCC database is any indication, AT&T is about to launch the ZTE ZMax 3.

According to the official FCC documents, AT&T's upcoming ZTE ZMax 3 is a slightly modified version of the ZTE Grand X 3. Interestingly, AT&T's GoPhone prepaid subsidiary has been selling the ZMax 3 since back in the year.

In terms of hardware specs, the ZTE ZMax 3 and the Grand X 3 share most of their components. Included here are the 5.5-inch display running at 1280 by 720 pixels, an entry-level Snapdragon 210 chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, Cat. 4 LTE, a USB Type-C connector, and a decently-sized 3,000mAh battery. In the camera department, the ZTE ZMax 3 is equipped with an 8MP primary shooter with 720p HD recording and a 2MP secondary shooter.

The FCC files also show off the upcoming affordable phone:

As far as we've been able to tell by looking at hardware specifications on a piece of virtual paper, the only upgrades that the ZMax 3 brings compared to the Grand X 3 are LTE carrier aggregation and NFC. Cricket currently sells the Grand X 3 for $79.99 and we expect AT&T to slap the ZMax 3 with a similar price tag.

What do you guys think? Would anyone be interested in getting the ZMax 3 as a backup phone?
