Deal: Latest Motorola Moto X (2014) down to $299 on AT&T and Verizon
If you're looking for a solid all-round smartphone, then the second-gen Motorola Moto X (2014) is a pretty good choice. Already well-priced, you can snag yourself a tidy saving on this handset right now, with Best Buy offering the device for $299 to those happy to run with AT&T or Verizon. The deal applies to the 16GB model in black only, and with AT&T customers saving a tidy $100, those on Verizon pocket a whopping $250 on the usual price.

The second-generation Moto X is among a fleet of very good smartphones that currently sit just below the upper echelons of the market. It's not a Samsung Galaxy S6 or an LG G4 by any stretch of the imagination, but at a fraction of the cost, packs enough of a punch to cater to most needs.

There have been rumors that a third-gen variant of the Moto X is incoming, with purported specs and a rather pixelated sighting of the device offering a flavor of things to come. Notably, we could be looking at two different versions of the Moto X, one with a 5.2-inch QHD display and a larger variant with a 5.7-inch QHD panel -- the latter of which will apparently be exclusive to Verizon.

If you've been contemplating the current Moto X, though, now's a good time to go ahead and acquire the 2014 variant. Best Buy is also offering $25 in rewards certificates with every new smartphone purchase to sweeten the bargain, so move quickly if you want to save some cash on what remains a great smartphone.

This isn't the first deal that Best Buy has rolled out this week, either. The retailer also snipped $100 off the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 a few days back, and for those interested, that particular offer is still valid. For more information, click here
