Check out these video teasers for the Xiaomi Mi Max phablet
The Xiaomi Mi Max should be unveiled during Xiaomi's upcoming media event scheduled for this coming Tuesday, May 10th. While the phablet is going to sport a 6.44-inch screen, the manufacturer had to cut corners in order to keep the price at an affordable level, which is Xiaomi's MO. So out goes a QHD 2K resolution screen, and in comes an FHD 1080 x 1920 resolution display.

While speculation has the base model (2GB RAM with 16GB of native storage) priced at the equivalent of $200, that means the Mi Max is not driven by the Snapdragon 820 chipset. Instead, the Snapdragon 650 SoC powers the unit. Another variant of the phone will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.

Xiaomi has produced a bevy of video teasers for the Mi Max. A quick warning. All of them are in Chinese; if you never studied the language, the ads may seem a little strange. But we are really not interested in the "plot," just interested in checking out the Mi Max which you can do by clicking on the video slideshow below.

Thanks for the tip!
