Cheaper gold Apple Watch to be announced alongside the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus?

Folks who want to buy a gold-made Apple Watch currently have to shed out at least $10,000 in order to get one (with some Watch Edition models costing as much as $17,000). But things may change in the near future.

According to The New York Times, a less expensive gold Apple Watch Edition should be announced next week, on September 9, when Apple will also unveil the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. There's no word on exactly how much the new gold Apple Watch will cost, but we assume it's still going to be pretty expensive compared to the Watch Sport and the regular Watch (which can be purchased for as low as $349 and $549, respectively).

As reported earlier this week, Apple might also showcase an iPad Pro during the September 9 event. Moreover, The New Work Times has it that the Cupertino giant will announce a "revamped" iPad keyboard, too.

A new Apple TV is also expected to be presented next week. All in all, Apple's September 9 event will likely be quite exciting for Apple fans (and not only).
