Chassis belonging to mystery Xiaomi handset surfaces in photos
Over the last few weeks, we've seen several leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi 5. According to Xiaomi Senior VP Liwan Jiang, the company is holding an event on February 24th at which time it will unveil the new flagship model. This Tuesday, Xiaomi is expected to release more information about this event, and presumably the Mi 5.

Today, images of a metal chassis that belong to an unknown Xiaomi branded handset surfaced. The phone does not resemble the Mi 5, but does bare a resemblance to the Apple iPhone 6s or the HTC One M9. Note how the person holding the chassis is wearing finger cots. That is something that you might see used on an assembly line, which means that the photos are either legit, or the mastermind behind them knew to include the finger cots in order to make the images look real.

Some believe that the chassis belongs to the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. This is a larger screened version of the Mi 5 that has been rumored for some time to be accompanying the new flagship model. As soon as we find out more information about this unknown handset, we will pass it on to you immediately.

Thanks for the tip!
