BlackBerry 10.1 update is coming to AT&T's BlackBerry Z10
Those with the AT&T version of the all-touch BlackBerry Z10 are receiving an update to BlackBerry10.1. That will put owners of the phone on a level playing field with users of the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry Q10 which came to market with BlackBerry 10.1 pre-installed. The update brings support for Skype and adds HDR mode to the camera. Using High Dynamic Mode, a picture now combines the best of the dark areas and light areas in bringing BlackBerry 10.1 owners improved performance with pictures snapped in low-light conditions. The camera will also now reduce both red and golden eye images. The update also adds improvements to notifications and to the BlackBerry Hub, allowing for PIN to PIN messaging in the latter.
Some of the other changes in BlackBerry 10.1 include the ability to paste numbers into the dialer, check for updates to apps in BlackBerry App World, and gives users the option to turn off alerts for certain apps. The update is coming OTA which means that it could take some time before you see it on your Z10, as these things are usually sent out in waves. If you can't wait, there is a solution. Grab your USB cable and with the BlackBerry software management app, you'll be able to pull it out of BlackBerry's servers in 30 minutes.

In case you're looking ahead, earlier this month we passed along some leaked screenshots of BlackBerry 10.2. Some of the new features for that update were passed along as far back as May.
