Benchmark tests measure the performance boost on the HP Elite x3 following the Anniversary update
The HP Elite x3 is the most highly spec'd Windows 10 Mobile powered phone available. Yesterday, the anticipated Windows Mobile 10 Anniversary update was disseminated to the phone, while at the same time Microsoft resumed taking orders for the handset. The update brings a customizable Quick Settings menu, a universal Skype app, notifications syncing between desktop and mobile, new languages for Cortana (Spanish, Portuguese and French) and more.

But more importantly, the update also jacks up the power packed performance of the Elite x3. Windows Central took AnTuTu benchmark tests of the Elite x3 before and after the update, and added the AnTuTu score of the most highly spec'd Lumia Windows 10 Mobile model, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL.

The update resulted in a 9.3% increase in the Elite x3's AnTuTu score from 108,727 to 118,796. The Lumia 950 XL scored 87,906. In real world experience, that translates into a slightly faster performance for the HP phablet following the installation of the Anniversary update. It also means that the Elite x3 offers a smoother, more powerful experience than the Lumia 950 XL.

If you're interested in the HP Elite x3, visit the Microsoft Store. The phone is available unlocked for $799.
