Apple launches back to school promo, iPhone and iPad included
College students, here's a deal that might grab your attention, especially if you've been planning on purchasing some new Apple gear. The company's Back to School promo is now live and features not only Macs discounted by up to $200, but also iPads and, for the first time, iPhones, all of which come bundled with Apple Store credit.
Here's how the deal works: each college student, or parent purchasing an iPad or iPhone for one, will receive a $50 card that can be spent on apps, music, games, books, and more from the App Store, Mac App Store, iTunes Store, and iBookstore. Mac buyers will be getting double the treatment, receiving $100 worth of credit. Faculty or staff members are eligible for the Back to School deal as well. The $50 or $100 gift cards will be given at the time of purchasing a qualifying product, and it doesn't matter whether one buys their Mac, iPad, or iPhone at an Apple retail store, an authorized Apple campus store, or via Apple's online store.
