Breaking news from Google I/O. Dave Burke, Vice President of Android's engineering department just confirmed an
official release ETA for Android O. Apparently the new version of Android will exit its beta stage "in late summer", merely two months after Google released an early look developer preview for the software.
Android O is set to bring some exciting features, like Picture-In-Picture mode, notification dots, optimizations for performance/battery life, superior Autofill mode, and more.
So, which devices will receive Android O first? The
Pixel and
Pixel XL are the chief suspects, but
Nexus 5X,
Nexus 6P,
Nexus Player, and the Pixel C tablet could also get it either on launch day or shortly after.
Stay tuned for a complete coverage of Android O and all of its new features...
