Android 4.3 to get 'by usage' sorting of apps and widgets
A code scoop by Myce reveals a tidbit of upcoming Android 4.3 functionality that will appease some.
Until now, unless you're running a custom launcher, apps and widgets would only get sorted alphabetically with no alternative options available. If you count yourself among those who dislike homescreen clutter and regularly tap into the app drawer, the next iteration of Google's OS will keep statistics of your most used apps and widgets and allow you to sort the drawer based on that. This same functionality appears to be referred to as 'sort by favorite' in house.
According to Myce the code first appeared on the Linux Foundation Labs website, and more specifically in the Google Launcher source.
