Alcatel One Touch Evo 7 tablet hands-on
The Alcatel One Touch Evo 7 tablet is the truly mobile tablet, accepting SIM cards to run 3G HSPA data. There is no main camera, only a 0.3MP front facing camera for video-chat work.
The rest of the package is utilitarian. The 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor handles Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is delivered to you through the 7-inch 1024x600 TFT display. There is 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. The Evo 7 accepts microSD cards for expansion.
The Evo 7 shares a wide bezel like the Tab 7HD and the tablet was responsive running what is by and large, stock Android. The design is not pedestrian, the back panel has a nice looking metal motif with a long speaker grill along the edge. Pricing, availability and any possible carrier support is yet to be announced.
