Affordable LG X230 gets certified, global launch seems imminent
LG launched a couple of entry-level Android smartphones earlier this week, such as the X300 and Aristo. The former has been introduced in South Korea, while the latter made its way to the United States via MetroPCS and T-Mobile.

If we are to compare the two devices, they are almost the same aside from the fact that the LG X300 packs 2GB RAM and the LG Aristo comes with only 1.5GB RAM inside.

Now, a new affordable smartphone from LG is about to hit the shelves, the X230. Judging by its name alone, the LG X230 could be an even lower version of the X300.

LG X230 has been recently spotted at Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), which means it's one step close to official release. The listing at the communications authority doesn't reveal anything related to the phone's specs, but we do have some info thanks to the fact that the X230 listed at Geekbench not long ago.

Apparently, the LG X230 will be powered by a MediaTek MT6737M processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. In addition, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, which would be a bit disappointing since the other two low-end LG handset, the Aristo and X230, come with Nougat pre-installed.

There's no word on pricing and availability yet, but we expect the X230 to be released globally since Bluetooth SIG certified several models recently.
