9 million Huawei Honor 7 smartphones have been pre-ordered in one week
Officially announced at the end of June, the Honor 7 could become one of Huawei's most successful smartphones to date. The company today said that it received 9 million pre-orders for the Honor 7 in one week in China. According to Huawei, this is the first time when a Honor smartphone attracts so many customers in such a short time.
Chinese customers can order a Huawei Honor 7 for as low as $322 (16 GB model), or for about $400 if they want the 64 GB model. The new device runs Android Lollipop (with Huawei's Emotion 3.1 UI on top), and is made out of aluminum, being the flagship of the Honor series.
The Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor (the same that's found inside the Huawei P8max). The handset also features LTE, a fingerprint sensor, a 20 MP rear camera with Phase Detection auto focus, an 8 MP front-facing camera, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3100 mAh battery.

Huawei hopes that, later this year, the Honor 7 "will see a great response from users in Europe, too." The company didn't say if it's planning to launch the new Honor in North America, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear something about this.
