4.7-inch Lumia model RM-1127 sent to Microsoft for testing in India

It looks like a new budget priced Microsoft Lumia handset is being tested in India by Microsoft. According to the Zauba website, which tracks imports and exports to and from India, Microsoft has imported a phone into the country with the model number RM-1127. This is listed by Zauba as being a 4.7-inch handset with single SIM card support.

The value of the device is $71 USD which indicates that this model will be priced within reach of most. Two units were shipped into India. The listing on Zauba's site also indicates that the phones carried false IMEI numbers since they are only being tested internally by the manufacturer.

Microsoft has been concentrating on low to mid-range Lumia handsets (although Microsoft's Scandinavian General Manager Ossi Korpela called the Microsoft Lumia 640 a "High-end" device), and the RM-1127 appears to be another such model. Microsoft does appear to have a couple of high-end Lumia handsets being prepped for release once Windows 10 mobile is ready for release.

Last week we passed along speculation that two new Microsoft phones, known internally as the Lumia Cityman and the Lumia Talkman, will each be carrying high-end specs. The former is said to offer a 5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 resolution screen with an octa-core CPU, and 3GB of RAM inside. The latter is said to be equipped with a 5.2-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. A hexa-core CPU is rumored to be driving the device (the Snapdragon 808, which powers the LG G4, would seem to be the only silicon that matches the description). Both units are believed to feature a 20MP camera on back and a 5MP camera in front.
