128GB Asus ZenFone 2 (with 4GB of RAM) to be launched in Taiwan on June 18th
Asus is about to launch a version of the Asus ZenFone 2 with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM inside. This doubles the native memory that comes with the 64GB model of the phone that is currently available. Said to be priced at the equivalent of $387 USD, the new variant of the ZenFone 2 will be available in Taiwan starting at 10am on June 18th.

Over 100,000 units of the ZenFone 2 have been sold in Taiwan. With the extra storage available on this variant of the handset, Asus will probably sell a lot more phones in the country, especially if the $387 USD price is legit.

The Asus ZenFone 2 features a 5.5-inch LCD glass with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. A 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 SoC is under the hood and contains a quad-core 2.3GHz CPU and the PowerVR G6430 GPU. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 5MP, respectively. A 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on. The handset offers dual SIM capabilities and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

It's unclear whether the 128GB version of the Asus ZenFone 2 will end up joining the 64GB model offered for sale in the U.S. through Amazon, NewEgg, B&H, Groupon and other retailers.

Thanks for the tip!
