VoiceSignal unveils its continuous dictation solution for cellphones

VoiceSignal introduced the industry's first continuous dictation solution for mobile phones - VoiceMode 2.0. The company also announced that VoiceMode 2.0 enabled handsets from leading manufacturers, such as Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Palm, etc., are expected to hit the market as early as this summer. This new solution appears one year after the introduction of the first Samsung handsets equipped with VoiceMode 1.0 at CES 2005. It turned out to be very successful and major carriers like Cingular, Verizon and Sprint, offer such handsets.

VoiceMode 2.0 is compact, specifically designed for the limited memory of mass market phones, thus allowing manufacturers to embedd it in different types of phones, ranging from  entry-level ones to smartphones. It provides true large vocabulary, continuous dictation and can be used for text input into any mobile phone application, including email, SMS, IM, calendar, etc. It offers significant improvement in terms of text messaging usability, enabling increased messaging volume and message length.
