Starting February 1, 2008, the global BlackBerry 8830, which is the first GSM/CDMA RIM device, will be offered by Verizon in red, in addition to the silver variant. You are able to get the smartphone from the company’s web site for the price of $299 with a 2-year contract and a $100 rebate.An additional $100 credit toward the purchase of the handset is available for customers who sign up for qualifying voice and data plans at the time of purchase.

Ah yes....
Had I known way back in August that Verizon would release this "business" phone in a "consumer" color, I would've stopped in my tracks!
