Toshiba Portege G910/G920 revealed by FCC

The unannounced smartphone Portege G910/G920 has been approved by the FCC and the images in the recently declassified application are now revealed. The new Toshiba device comes as a successor of G900 and has side-opening clamshell design, similar to the Nokia E90. Unlike it, the Toshiba phone must be opened for even the simplest things, because it doesn't have real display and keyboard when closed (see the pictures below). The photos also show a big QWERTY keyboard and touch-sensitive display that are revealed when the phone is opened.

Even though the specifications at the moment are insufficient, we know that, unfortunately, the phone is only a tri-band UMTS, which limits its use in the US. Portege G910/G920 will most likely run under Windows Mobile 6 Professional as G900 did, but other specs for the new Toshiba are not available yet…
