Sprint reports 2Q numbers: better, but still bad.

Sprint's 2Q08 numbers were released today and they again lost a significant amount of customers, but the dawn may be coming...

Funny is hearing people talk about Sprint's Wimax, which right now is being petitioned by ATT. You guys are saying Verizon will be left in the dust? You do know in 2010 they are the first network to be switching to 4g right? LTE is a much faster and more capable network then Wimax, and it has been proven in tests. Both VZW and ATT will be using it fully by 2011. So Sprint will still be laying off employees, losing more and more customers, and not gaining any IQ within the customer care line. To visit the point of PTT, only Verizon right now is offering PTT through Rev-A and the Push to Talk phones they have are much better then Sprint/Nextel. So before any of you cheap Sprint customers come in here and act like you know a thing or two, research a bit. Cause Wimax is far out for Sprint, and LTE is on it's way in for VZW and ATT.

ATT, Verizon nor Alltel have even started the groundwork for LTE they just have plans as of now while Sprint has actual tangibles now and 66's ptt facts at all, merely opinion

with these bad news around, they still have 52m plus customers outthere. That makes them 3rd largest in the country. Get it? vzw ain't the best period they are coowner with VODAFONE. Plus, they have Verizon comunication. With all these shit how come they don't have 100m customers since they so call the ' BEST '. vzw FANBOYS!

verizon knows they suck thats why they buy all the good competition same thing with those att guys or cingular guys or whatever they are calling themselves nowadayz... Sprint will provail...52 million is still good in my book and all this talk about verizon in 2010 will have 4g wen sprint is comin out with wimaz first quarter?

Actually Verizon has already stated 2010 will be the year they start deploying LTE. I work for the company, I hear about it in conferences everyday. So again get your facts straight, cause Sprint is going down the shitter.

I love Sprint! Beat VZW in prices by FAR. Been a customer going on 5 years. Customer Support can be iffy sometimes, but who's perfect. I usually just go to tech support. I've found that since I have a pocket PC (the Touch) which VZW didn't have for 4 more months or so, cust service would always put me through to tech support. I also got Sprint TV included in my plan and VZW's isn't even active where I live yet. Sprint ROCKS! I may be the odd duck, but they likely have a customer for life. They seem to be two steps ahead on the business phones that "do it all". Thank you Sprint.

Sprint has to be cheap to sell something.. Wait they are still losing customers, man thats a bummer. That's what happens when your company is sub-par and ATT and VZW are 100 times better.

Heeeee, VzW new PTT is comparable to Sprint PTT. and with that Sprint doesn't have any edge over VzW. Since VzW is reliable. When Companies switch, you don't need to connect to IDEN.

i work for sprint, and i am a great service rep i don't agree with alot of sprint policies but to make a long story short ever phone company
has its problems
