Samsung officially announces SGH-F490

We have posted information and even pictures of the F490, but today it is announced officially. The new multimedia phone very similar to the F700, is equipped with a 3.2 inch, 16:9 wide touch display and utilizes the Croix user interface. It now has three hardawre buttons on the front side, instead of one (Send and End keys are added) but lacks the side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, substituting it for a high-resolution camera - 5-megapixels instead of 3 for the F700. Other features of the phone are very identical to those of the F700, and unfortunately it is only tri-band GSM with single-band UMTS/HSDPA, which makes it suitable only for Europe/Asia. Samsung F490 will be available in some European countries from February at around 530 Euro ($780).
