LG prepares VX8400 and VX8500 for Verizon

At CTIA 2006, LG showcased the VX8300, a high-end CDMA clamshell that will be the successor of the popular VX8100 EV-DO phone, which is still available from the US biggest CDMA carrier – Verizon Wireless. At the same time of the VX8300's approval, FCC also gave OK to the VX8400, but due to a short-term confidentiality, more information on the 8400 is just now available. The VX8400 is clamshell EV-DO phone, and although it has higher model number, it will be positioned below the 8300 since it lacks slot for memory expansion (has 128MB NAND internal memory). Other features include Bluetooth capabilities, dual color displays, 1.3-megapixel camera on the back and music-dedicated keys on the front.

The FCC website also just showed LG VX-8500, which will be another high-end Bluetooth-capable CDMA device. Unlike 8100, 8300 and 8400 it has internal antenna. We guess it will be in slider design. Most of the FCC pages are still unavailable so we can't say anything more on its specifications, but we suppose that VX-8500 will feature EV-DO high-speed as the other models.
