LG announces slew of new GSM and CDMA phones

LG announced the LG550 (LX550), about which we already reported in March - a CDMA music-oriented clamshell phone with iPod styled music-keys on the front cover. It has microSD slot for memory expansion and FM radio. The LX-550 takes advantage of Sprint PCS' high-speed EV-DO network and features Power Vision. The LX550 has two color displays, 1.3-megapixel camera (camcoder), Speakerphone and exchangeable housing.

LG350 (LX350) is another clamshell with two color displays. Its external display conceals when inactive, giving the flip a smooth design. The LX-350 features Bluetooth, speaker-independent voice recognition and speakerphone and supports downloadable 3D games.

LG225 (CG225)

LG8300 (VX8300) is the successor of the popular VX-8100, offered from Verizon at the moment. It plays music through built-in stereo speakers or through Bluetooth (it supports A2DP profile for stereo sound via Bluetooth). The VX-8300 delivers internet access through high-speed EV-DO networks and features GPS positioning system. The 8300 also features 1.3-megapixel camera and advanced voice recognition. The VX-8300 was approved by the FCC in March.
