Alltel’s Touch now in Burgundy

Click to see a large image.
The HTC Touch is one of the pretty devices among the Windows Mobile Professional smartphones so it was rather strange that until now, the U.S. carriers distributed it in only one color for each: black for Sprint, white for Verizon and grey for Alltel.  The latter is changing its mistake by adding a Burgundy variant to its line. Specifications remain unchanged and so does the price, coming at $129.99 with two-year contract.

Having in mind the idea of the Touch (pretty smartphone) it is not a surprise that it comes in different flavor. In addition to the Black, the European variant is also available in Arctic Silver and Lime Green, so the rest of the U.S. carriers may take a look at it and update their lines, just as Alltel did.

apple kind of stepped down in design from the original iphone to this iphone touch htc edition.... even the burgundy doesn't help. oh well, next time they'll do better!

Apple has nothing to do with this, nor does the iPhone. This is made by HTC, a Taiwanese company.

and thank god for that, it runs wm6 just like the other touches so you get 11 years of Microsoft making a windows CE device, you get 3rd party apps 3G service now rather that needing to wait a much better choice
